Congratulations to Bruce Fickling of San Clemente for winning Bike of the Month with his 1972 Norton 750 Commando Fastback.
Bruce won a Specialty Chain Cleaner provided provided by the WD-40 Company.
WD-40 now produces a line of specialty formulated motorcycle products WD-40 Specialist Motorcycle
Bruce has come in Second place twice in the past with this bike, and also placed twice several years ago when he was bringing his Rickmann to Beach Burgers.
He bought this bike three years ago after it had been in storage for years. He got it running the first day, but didn't start the restoration for a couple of years.
The year long restoration was completed a few months ago by Tim McIntyre of Lake Elsinore with paint by Tom Carmer of Capistrano Beach.
The bike is pretty much stock aside from the rear shocks and a few other bits. The fiberglass tank and tail piece are original.
Thanks Bruce for your consistancy and coming back. See all the photos in our August Gallery.
