Joshua Sult with his 1966 BMW R60/2
Country of Origin: Germany
Engine: 600cc Twin
Transmission: 4 speed
Owner: Joshua Sult
City: Laguna Beach
Congratulations to Joshua Sult of Laguna Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1966 BMW R60/2.
Josh won a trophy provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
This was Josh's first time to our meet, however the bike has been here before. Josh bought it from Shawn Boeker who works for Irv Seaver BMW and restores BMW motorcycles.
Shawn brought the bike to our meet a few times in 2013 after he had completed it. In September, 2013 Shawn took some votes from
Marcus Daven who won with a very similar 1966 BMW R50/2
BMW produced over 20,000 R60/2s during a thirteen year production from 1956 through 1969. This one is equipped with the optional bar-end Hella turn indicators.
Thank you Josh for bring your BMW for all of us to see. Too bad Shawn wasn't here today to see his build win. See all the photos in our February Gallery.
