VINTAGE BIKE OC NEWS

Huntington Beach, Calif. - It was a windy Mother's Day today in HB. We had a great meet with our new host Castañeda's Mexican Food. Unfortunately they aren't open yet but they should be going strong by our June 11th meet.

Attendance was down a little with all the circumstances but we still had a good turnout with 69 bikes. No more threat of new development, that was on a the parcel of land behind the restaurants.

Watch for Motorcycles W4M
Nicole Heimerl was promoting her project W4M passing out free Watch for Motorcycles decals for your car windows. Nicole lost her son Austin Nicely in 2014 in a motorcycle accident. Nicole was accepting donations for decal production so that she can continue to spread the word. Follow her project on FaceBook at facebook.com/watchformotorcyclesW4M

THE CALIFORNIAN Classic Motorcycle Show MAY 20th, 2017
Brady Walker came down from Pasadena to promote his Concours motorcycle show next weekend up at Santa Anita Park. This is the first Classic bike show coinciding with the 141st running of the Preakness Stakes. For more information visit his website www.bradywalker.com/thecalifornian.

Bike of the Month
Congratulations to John Calicchio and Triumph Classic Motorcycles of Costa Mesa for winning Bike of the Month with their recently finished 1972 Triumph T100C. John won WD-40 Motorcycle Chain Wax provided provided by the WD-40 Company.

Second Place
Bruce Fickling of San Clemente came in Second with his 1972 Norton Fastback. Bruce has owned it for 3 years and it just finished a one year restoration with Tim McIntyre of Lake Elsinore.

Third Place
Greg Slater of Placentia took Third place with his 100% original 1968 Honda CL90. Greg has owned it for 10 years and it is all original unrestored.
