Tonight I was thinking of Tony Barrett of Costa Mesa who was a member of our group for many years. In April 2018, he took Second place with his 1978 Yamaha DT400. He told me that day that he'd been recently diagnosed with ALS disease, and that this Yamaha would be his last build.

After an internet search I found the sad news that Tony lost his battle to ALS last April 2019. For the year after his diagnosis, Tony fought hard and raised over $35,000 for the ALS Association and donated his body to research. UCI Alumnus Tony Barrett donates his body to the UCI School of Medicine. Tony will be missed at our meets.

Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this another great event. A special thanks to Debbie and Tom Hopkins for helping out with the voting today. I'll see you at next month's meet, November 10, 2019.

Keep On Ridin',
Joe Kagerer
