Huntington Beach, Calif. - Happy Mother's Day! The meet always falls on Mother's Day we had a small but mighty turn out today. The top three bikes were brought by people who have attended this meet since its inception. Jeff, Ernesto and Carl always have something special to bring. We ended a bit early for the holiday and we had 42 bikes in the lot.

The voting was very tight today, the top three bikes only varied by one vote. Two others were close behind tying for fourth. Honorable mention go to the 100% original 1975 Kawasaki KZ900 and the 1988 Suzuki GSXR 1100.

Bike of the Month - Jeff McCoy

Jeff has only owned this Triumph for a few months. This is his fourth Bike of the Month win.

Second Place - Ernesto Quiroga

I think this may be the first time Ernesto has brought the Laverda to our meet. He took off too fast for me to get photos and more information.

Ernesto has won Bike of the Month eight times since November 2007. He won at the forth meet that I ran. Nearly every time Ernesto shows up, he brings a winner.

Third Place - Carl Felix

Congratulations to Carl Felix of Costa Mesa for winning Third Place with his 1972 Triumph TR6 Chopper.

Carl has been coming to the meet for the entire time, and usually has a unique bike. This is the first time he's been in the top three.

His TR6 is a 1970's period correct chopper. With a Denver frame made in Santa Ana by Cheetah Engineering.
