Congratulations to Doug Rickertsen of Huntington Beach for winning Bike of the Month with his 1975 Honda MR50 Baby Elsinore.
Doug won a plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
They made the MR50 for two years, 1974 and 1975. Named the Baby Elsinore because it was styled after the full sized CR250.
Doug has owned this bike for less than a year. He did a 100% restoration on it using all OEM parts.
There is a rev-limiter installed on the throttle, that seemed to be removed from most of them back in 1975. Just one of the parts
made of unobtainium.
Doug utilized re-mx.com for many of his hard-to-find parts in this restoration, and recommends them to anyone looking.
He has won Bike of the Month once before in April 2021
