Description: Ed has owned this motorcycle for almost 40 years. He bought it in 1968 slightly used. He started his restoration process in 1997 collecting parts until 2002. His goal was to keep it as original as possible. In 2004 he started the restoration process that took 2 years to complete.
Ed gave us all quite a detailed history of the the Henderson company which started in 1911, and was purchased by Excelsior in 1917. Excelsior was later purchased by the Schwinn Bicycle Company of Chicago.
Ed rode this bike to our meet, it was quite a treat to hear it purr and see it run. Thanks again Ed for sharing your great bike with our group. |
