Huntington Beach, Calif. - It was a hot one today in HB. The temp was in the mid 80's and everyone was at the Beach. The weather was so good, I took the long way down PCH adding about 20 miles to my 8 mile trip. Good thing for lane sharing or I would have been very late - TMC - Too Many Cars. We had an excellent turnout, I was having a hard time counting, but I'm sure we had at least 32 motorcycles. A lot of newer bikes, but still plenty of Vintage tin to look at.
Perry Edwards of Garden Grove won Bike of the Month with his very clean 1974 CB-750 four. Perry brought a whole krew of Honda riders - four very nice bikes - check them all out in the photo gallery. The Bike of the Month vote was wide spread, with three people tying for Second place. We never know what bike will take it, and it's usually a slim margin. So bring whatever you have, it could be a winner.
We had a broad range of bikes today from a mid 50's side-car on a BMW, to a 2008 Can-Am Spyder three wheeler. OK, so the '08 is only three days old, but Frank Colver the proud new owner, thought we would all like to see it.
May Meeting on Mother's Day
Our next meet is May 11, 2009, Mother's Day. Now is a great time to use our Free Calendar Application! They make the perfect Mother's Day gift, and did I mention they're free?.
I Need Help with the May Meet
I'm going to be out of town on May 11. I suspect that the turn-out may be light due to the holiday, but if people show up, and pictures are taken, I'll post them on the site.
