Frank once again brought a winner to the meet. Last August Frank won "Webmaster's Choice" Bike of the Month with his 1927 Sunbeam. Frank told me today that his Sunbeam will be featured this year in the National Antique Motorcycle Club of America's (AMCA) Calendar. Congratulations to Frank on that nice feature.
This month, Frank's Matchless G80L was chosen by popular vote, it won by a very narrow margin, there were many nice bikes here this month. He has owned this bike since August 2006, but didn't get it running until last month. Frank would have had the bike finished sooner, but the gas tank alone was in another man's shop for a full year. The flying "M" logos on the tank are custom reproductions of the original decals. Thank you Frank for bringing another of your fine motorcycles to share with us. |
The Bike of the Month contest is held monthly at the Vintage Bike OC meet. Qualifying motorcycles must be 30 years old or older. Former Bike of the Month winning bikes are not eligible to win again.
Anyone attending the meet is eligible to enter a qualifying bike in the contest and vote for
their favorite bike. The winning bike is chosen by a popular vote and is featured on the Home page for one month and in this feature article. The Bike of the Month articles are permanent content on the site.
