Congratulations to Perry Edwards of Garden Grove for winning Bike of the Month with his 1966 Honda S90.
Perry won a plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
Perry is known amongst Honda people as the Honda guy. He is behind many fine Honda's
in the Orange County area. Today's meet had at least 3 retired American Honda employee's, Perry
being one of them.
This is the second time he has won Bike of the Month. He won back in
April 2008 with his 1974 Honda CB-750
He still owns that award winning bike and it still looks just as good 15 years later.
Perry told me that Honda manufactured the S90 from 1964 until 1969. In the five year span
there were two generations. The early generation, the carburetor was offset and the exhaust had
a gentle curve. In the later generation, the carb was more aligned with the cylinder.
The model year was basically represented by the DMV first date of registration, so this bike easily
could have been made in 1966.
He's owned the bike for two years, and the complete restoration took 9-10 months.
