Huntington Beach, Calif. - Another hot afternoon and people didn't want to leave their air conditioning. It may have been the date, September 11th, there were some other events scheduled for today. We still managed the get 33 bikes in attendance and have a great meet with some rare bikes on display.

George Line of Westminster took Second place with his 1971 Yamaha RT1B 360.

George is the second owner of this Yamaha which he bought in 1973 when it was two years old. During the Covid lockdown, George decided to restore it and bring it up to it's current condition.

Third Place - Jim Bradford
Jim Bradford of Costa Mesa with his 1942 Villiers Well Bike
Jim Bradford of Costa Mesa won Third place with his 1942 Villiers Well Bike.

This WWII bike was made for the British paratroopers for battle field mobility and was dropped from airplanes.

Jim also brought a 1948 Indian Papoose that had the same Villiers Junior engine. He brought both of these in his fully modified 1940 Ford pickup, which is always a treat to see. Jim drove that same trunk to our August 2007 meet. The first meet that I ran 15 years ago. It still looks just as good.

Rare German Brand - MZ
1995 MZ Scorpion Sport Cup Replica
Although a few years too "new" for the Bike of the Month contest, John Champion road his German made 1995 MZ Scorpion Sport Cup Replica. We've never had an MZ at our meet.

Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this another great event. A special thanks to John Zindler for helping out with the voting. I'll see you at next month's meet, October 9, 2022.

Keep On Ridin',
Joe Kagerer
