Congratulations to Casey Moir of Costa Mesa for winning Bike of the Month with his 1970 Honda US90 Trike.
Casey won a plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
Casey grew up in Nipomo, CA just north of Santa Maria. In 1970, Casey's cousin bought a brand new Honda US90 from Santa Maria Speed Marine.
He and his cousin rode it all over Pismo Beach dunes as a kid.
A month ago Casey picked up two US90s and red one and the blue one. He just finished the restoration. A few unique features about the US90:
- It has a four speed automatic clutch transmission, that also has a High/Low range gearbox selector.
- The original tires were mounted on 3" rims and are made of unubtanium... extremely expensive to find. Casey replaced his with 8" aftermarket rims.
- The 90cc single cylinder engine is rope start like a lawn mower.
- The frame is hollow sheet metal, and the vehicle is designed to float.
Casey has been into Hot Rods and motorcycles all his life. His personal website has some pretty cool projects he's been involved with.

1988 The End of an Era
In 1988 manufacturers signed a consent agreement with the US Government to discontinue manufacturing three wheeled vehicles for the US market.
here's an article from PartZilla for more information: Why Three Wheel ATVs were banned in the USA
Thank you, Casey for bringing your US90 out for all of us to see. See all the photos in our March 2024 Gallery.
