Huntington Beach, Calif. -
It was chilly, windy and high chance of rain today that kept almost
everyone home. At 2:00 we had one bike in the lot, and I thought we would
literally have A Bike of the Month. Grant
Leppe showed up at 1:30 and I jumped out of my car to keep him around. As
it turns out 5 people braved the weather to show their bikes.
100% Vintage Showing
It was like the old days, a small group of vintage motorcycles. Not that
I want to return to those turnouts, but it was nice to have only old bikes.
Please keep coming with whatever you choose to ride.

Bike of the Month - Grant Leppe
Grant Leppe of Huntington Beach with his 1968 Honda CB77 Super Hawk
Congratulations to Grant Leppe of Huntington Beach for winning Bike of the Month
with his 1968 Honda CB77 Super Hawk.
Grant won the Bike of the Month plaque provided by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys. www.RussBrown.com.
Grant has been coming to this event longer than I have. He was one of the first people I
met at the meet, and always seems willing to help with information and resources.
Grant always has something to cool to show, but rarely stays around long enough for the vote.
He won Bike of the Month back in 2011 with his 1975 Honda Trail 70 Custom on our July, 2011 Bike of the Month page.

Second Place - Peter Vu
Peter Vu of Huntington Beach took Second place with his 1980 Honda XL80S.
Peter has been to our meet a few times and brought his Honda with some unique hand-made features.
He has owned it for 2 years.
Third Place - Larry Luce
Larry Luce of Huntington Beach won Third place with his 1958 Velocette Venom 500.
Larry has been coming to our meet for a long time and owns many bikes. He's owned this one for
about 10 years.
Honorable Mention - Logan McCord
Logan McCord of Orange with his 1986 Suzuki GSXR 750.
Logan has also been to our meet many times but hasn't stuck around for the contest.
I think his GSXR could get some votes. His brother bought the bike new in 1986. After
totalling it decades ago, Logan had it fully restored.
Honorable Mention - John Zindler
John Zindler of Costa Mesa with his 1973 Triumph Tiger 750.
John has helped me with the meet for the past two years. He initially drove his car
today to help, but then left and returned on his Triumph just to be part of the action.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!
I'm sorry I didn't see many of you today to wish you a very happy and healthy holiday
season. I hope you have a wonderful time with your friends and family.
Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this another small, but great event.
A special thanks to John Zindler for helping out with
I'll see you at next month's meet, January 8, 2023.
