October Vintage Bike OC Meet
1985 Ducati cam gear

Huntington Beach, Calif. - It was a perfect fall afternoon today and we had a great turnout early with more than 30 bikes at the start and 50 over all. We had a great selection of bikes to vote on and many new people.

Congratulations to Joe Dale of Huntington Beach for taking Second Place with his 1969 Harley Davidson XLCH. Joe has owned the Sportster since 2017. He bought it from a collector in Springfield MA. He should have won for the "Most Chrome Plating Ever!"

Third Place - Steve Ames

Congratulations to Steve Ames of Santa Ana for winning Third Place with his 1974 Norton 850 Commando MKII Hi-Rider.

Steve has owned the Norton for 22 years, it is nearly 100% original. He swapped the originals for Keihin carburetors for more reliability.

The Hi-Rider was Norton's answer to the popularity of chopper's in the early 1970's.

Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this another great event. A special thanks to John Zindler for helping out with the voting and setup.

I'll see you at next month's meet, November 10, 2024.

Keep On Ridin',
Joe Kagerer
